Finding it all again

I never imagined I'd find love again. I thought it would take YEARS to be happy again. But, God had a plan for me and it included Matt.

I have learned and realized over the last year and a half that yes, sometimes life sucks...love hurts...your heart breaks...life goes on....and God will never put a challenge in front of you that you can't handle and grow from.

Yesterday's message in church was amazing...powerful and very personal. It was about divorce and relationships. A couple joined us at the end of the sermon to share their story about reconciliation through their marriage's challenge faced with infidelity. I couldn't help but cry. Right there...in the middle of church. I was not alone. Hearing how she overcame, forgave and moved on from her husband's infidelity, helped me tremendously. No two people's situations are the same, especially in divorce, but I feel as if finally, someone's story has been able to really help me heal. For that, I want to thank P.M. for sharing her story. I pray this couple is able to heal their marriage with the help of God and His word.

I have witnessed and experienced wonderful things through God in my current relationship. I am so thankful for Calvary for helping me get back on my feet through my divorce, and Gracepoint for bringing Matt and I closer and for teaching me to let go and let God. GP has helped me heal from my past, guided me in my walk with God, and to love..

Finding it all again can really happen and I have never been happier or more at peace.

I am a relationship girl

I am a relationship girl.
I want to get married.
I want to have kids.
I want to continue working in higher ed and someday become a Dean.
I want to have a house full of love and laughter.
I want a husband who still thinks I'm sexy when I'm 9 months pregnant and ready to pop and doesn't look at other women.
I want to have BBQs on Saturdays after little league games with my family and friends.
I want to raise my children in the Church.
I want to go on family vacations.
I want to be a PTA mom.
I want to have a book club with my girl friends.
I want to garden with my mother when we visit each other.
I want to coach track or cross country.
I want to help chaperone my kids' field trips.
I want to have family traditions with my husband and kids like opening gifts at our house on Christmas day and Easter at grandma and grandpa's (alternating houses every year of course).
I want to spend my life married to my best friend and the man who thinks I am the most beautiful woman in the world and tells me so every day not because he feels he has to, but because he means it.
I want my kids to admire their parents for the love and commitment they have for each other.
That's what I want.
Call me traditional, boring or unrealistic, but that's what I want for my life.
