Last week I went to Gaucho's (a Brazilian steakhouse) here in Indiana with Matt and his parents. I had never been there before, so I thought I'd write my own little food critic "review" of it.
If you're a vegetarian or vegan, this is not the restaurant for you. My order....Feast of Meats. That's right, feast of meats. They bring around on big skewers, grilled steak, chicken, pork and turkey. I don't recall every type I had, but it was DELICIOUS.
The prices aren't bad, considering how fresh all the food is. Aside from my PLATTER of meat I seemed to be devouring, there was a salad bar as well.
My advice:
1. Come hungry (I ate a light lunch)
2. It's your birthday? You eat for FREE!
Here's the website...check it out!

computer clean-up & bookmarks
So, I learned today at work that my laptop has a virus. And...they can't get rid of it. The plan is to re-image it tomorrow morning. IT told me to save anything I want saved, because everything will be wiped clean. I've had this computer for 2 years...there are several bookmarks on Firefox and miscellaneous stuff saved everywhere. It's crazy how much becomes built up over time. As I was going through all my bookmarked pages, I rediscovered some fun and interesting pages that I forgot about. I thought I'd share some of them.....
For all the married or soon-to-be married ladies (these were from my marriage research paper for grad school):
www.shejustgotmarried.com
www.simplemarriage.net
www.engagedmarriage.com
www.lifegems4marriage.com
www.weddingbee.com
www.stylemepretty.com
Other interesting bookmarks....
www.holliesquotes.com
www.alexandrabarlow.wordpress.com
And for all my friends in higher education....an interesting blog about college counseling from the other side of the desk:

What do you have bookmarked on your computer??

Happy birthday!
Monday was Matt's birthday. He spent last weekend in Chicago for his friend's bachelor party and Monday was his last day of school with the kiddos. So....not a lot of time to coordinate much.
We had dinner at home (steak, potatoes, and peppers...our favorite!). I already gave him his birthday present (super early), so I made him a 2 layer chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, per his request and gave him a sweet card before he left for school in the morning.
We are a little bit of homebodies, so a relaxing night at home is just what we needed and enjoyed. That's what I love about Matt. We can do absolutely nothing and have the best time. I don't feel like I have to "entertain" him and get all dressed up to go out every weekend. The bar is not really my scene. We enjoy each others company and the time we do get to spend with each other. We don't take each other for granted.
His birthday celebration will continue tomorrow though. We are going out to dinner with his parents for his birthday. I wanted to do that on Monday night, but his parents weren't available, and we wanted them there with us.

Matt's birthday present!
My obviously homemade birthday cake for Matt.
In my defense, the cake and frosting were just not cooperating with each other,
and...I've never been good at icing...no excuse there.
And a special birthday song for Matt....

Under Construction
My blog is undergoing some changes. I have been exploring different looks for it, but I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to making all the necessary changes. I am hoping to have it done in a week or two.
