My sorority house was packed with friends, family, sisters, and alumni. Because the weather was super windy, everyone was trying to cram into the house. Unfortunately, I didn't stay long. I saw a few familiar faces, but wish the weather had been better and it wasn't the Michigan vs. Michigan State football game. I think there would have been a better turnout.
A silver-LEED certified building on campus...........young faces.........Professors who haven't changed a bit & still remember my name..........a sweet coffeehouse in Alma (finally!)..........sorority chants & songs........the Kiltie marching band............bagpipes.......maroon and cream..........my first AC alumni sweatshirt (6 years after graduation)............Pizza Sam's.........the spirit rock........spray painted sheets blowing in the wind advertising campus events...........the alumni house...........the library (yes, the library!).........the Chapel............the Scots.
Those are just some of my favorite moments and memories of Alma's campus. That place is magical. It makes me incredibly happy to be there. I wonder if people feel that way about their own alma mater. It will always be my home. I had 4 amazing years there, met some fabulous friends, joined an amazing sisterhood, and made some wonderful memories.
I spent some quality time with my mom - just the 2 of us. I also hung out with my brother, Cody, and had my traditional brunch with my dad, step-mom, sis-in-law, Lyndsay, and my adorable niece, Ella, on Sunday before heading back to Indiana. It was a great weekend.
