My thoughts on politics.....
While everyone is riled up about the election, I am just thankful to have someone brave enough to step into the shoes of presidency. It takes a strong person to take on that role. Think about it. Would YOU want to make all of the decisions for a country with differing opinions about gay marriage, of different faiths, of difference cultures? Not me.
I think about my job.....trying to please 800+ people for a big event. It's impossible. Just like it's always going to be impossible for everyone in the United States to ever agree on one person to lead our country. How could we expect that one person as president to make the decisions WE all want?
A friend of mine posted this on Facebook. It's so true if you think about it. While, yes, it's funny, it's true. It takes time to make change. Something so big and so important as this cannot happen over night.
You might say, "Well, I know who you voted for."
Truth is, I would say the same
thing if a Republican or a Libertarian had been president these
last four years. I am not Democrat or Republican. I vote for the person I
believe the most in. I am not one to shove my political views in your
face. I never have and never will. Nor will I ever share who I vote for,
because I don't feel like being criticized or judged or lectured. I
read enough of everyone's political rant on Facebook.
I am trusting Obama to lead our country and I trust God will help him.
