I love this quote.

Many of my closest friends live out of state...Michigan, Virginia, Kentucky, Texas, and New York.

Even though I don't see these girls every day or every month, they still have a special place in my heart.

I admire them and value our friendship very much.

7 rules of life

1. The path is not straight.

2. Mistakes need not be fatal.

3. People are more important than achievements or possessions.

4. Be gentle with your parents.

5. Never stop doing what you care most about.

6. Learn to use a semicolon.

skin deep

True beauty is only skin deep.

It is not about big boobs...

...the perfect nose...

...a flat stomach....

...sculpted long legs....

....or weighing 110 lbs....

These things are what the media has put into our heads as acceptable beauty.

Women are self-conscious because of this....even models.

Crazy diets and obsessive workouts can lead to health problems for women.

Men and their opinions about our looks is also extremely critical for us.

If we catch our man checking out another woman, it can be crushing to our self-esteem.

Men, love your woman...give her your complete love and commitment.

Tell her she's beautiful every day, even if she's wearing sweats, has no make-up on and her hair's a total mess.

It will mean the absolute world to her (not to mention get you major brownie points).

Women appreciate a man who gives her his full attention in a room full of people, especially other women.

Here's to...

Here's to jumping in with both feet.

Here's to taking risks and hoping they pay off.

Here's to love, honesty and happiness.

Here's to being young, and most importantly...

Here's to living with no regrets.

Never Settle

Never settle for anything less than you deserve.

We often hear this, but do we really listen?

We settle on jobs that don't really make us happy...

We settle on a house/apt that is "eh, ok"...

We settle for significant others we don't really love or maybe don't see a future with...

We settle for a cheaper car that doesn't quite have all the features we wanted...

Why?

In the past, I settled for mediocre things in life.

I refuse to do that again.

Too often, I fought for the ok in life and not for the best that I could have.

Life is too short to settle. Go after what you deserve.
