The Big House

Matt had never been to the "big house" aka U of Michigan's football stadium, so we bought tickets for the Michigan/Purdue game (since Matt is a Purdue alum and I love Michigan). Our seats were with my favorite married couple, Carrie & Ahdi. Carrie and I go way back to middle school. We have remained good friends over the years and the miles between us.

Matt first met Carrie in the spring, but hadn't met her husband, Ahdi, yet. Carrie and I knew the two of them would hit off.....and they did! They hadn't known each other for less than 24 hours yet and they were already buddy-buddy, laughing and joking. This made me extremely happy to see two of my favorite friends getting along with and loving Matt. We also were able to spend time playing with their daughter, Tatum (9 months old). She was a blast and kept us all laughing and entertained all weekend.

Carrie always has a way of saying all the things I need to hear. She has been like an older sister to me and I truly value her opinion and advice. I admire her.

Before heading back to Indiana on Sunday, we met a few of my girl friends from high school for lunch. My friend, Amanda, is expecting her first baby and is due late December. I am missing her baby shower in a couple weeks, so I brought her shower gift Sunday. It was so good to catch up and reminisce about old times. I am truly blessed to have held onto those friendships over the years.
