Earlier this week I attended our volunteer leaders' meeting for my church. I love this group especially, because I grow more each day in my faith because of their love and support. Our pastors had us watch a documentary video about a church in Charlotte, NC...........Elevation Church.
Gracepoint and Elevation share very similar stories. Watching that video and hearing each chapter of their story about 8 couples passionate about starting their own church, made me want to do even more for GP. Their passion was not only in this idea of creating their own church in a big city, but their faith is what really touched my heart. They never gave up on their dream or God.
After watching this video, I immediately added it to my bucket list - to visit Elevation Church at some point in my life....to meet these people, to experience their worship service and hear a sermon by Pastor Steve Furtick would be absolutely amazing. I added his wife, Holly's blog button on my side bar (The Preacher's Wife). Check it out! I love her and her personality. She is just an all-around awesome wife, mother and Christian - I admire her.
