As of late, I have encountered more and more stories about infidelity and heart wrenching break-ups. I have done my best to offer advice, guidance, a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen. I am not by any means an expert, but I have experienced both situations though and it's tough. Many people have. I feel honored that others trust me and lean on me as a confidant and friend.
It's important for those going through it, to not feel as if they are alone, even though it seems that way. My heart aches for these individuals. My prayers have been filled with the many names of others.....friends, family and even strangers.
My Pastor's sermon yesterday was about the story in the Bible about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. the story. In the story, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are walking through a fire with a fourth individual - the son of the Gods. It is a good reminder that we are not alone. God is always with us and will help guide us through any fire we encounter.
"Everyone has a fire....or is in a fire at some point in their lives" - he said. It made me think of all of those going through trying times right now.....job loss, death, break-ups, divorce, infidelity, and more. This quote helps me through each day. My faith in God has really helped me through my "fires". I hope others find love, comfort and support in their faith too.
