I recently signed up for a membership at the local YMCA.
As I was filling out the paper work, I came to the marital status part. Check a box...
Single. Married. Separated. Divorced. Widowed.
SO many options now.
When are they going to add "It's complicated" and "Player" to the list? Ha ha!
I asked the lady at the desk....what do I check if I'm this status, but will soon be this status?
She gave me a puzzled/sympathetic look and replied, "you can leave it blank honey".
So, I'm just going to tell people I'm blank or simply nothing when they ask me my status. :)
I have to laugh at the funny/awkward moments through all of this, right?

I'm glad you're able to laugh while having to go through all this. It shows that you have great spirits about you and that you will not let this little hiccup get you down. Why does a gym need to know your marital status anyways...what's it to them if you're single, divorced or separated!
