"What do you plan to do next?"
This is a question one of my college seniors asked me today at our student leadership team meeting. I answered by asking what he meant. Did he mean after our meeting? No. After graduate school? Yes, and my career in admission.
Hmmmm.........
I answered by sharing I wasn't sure exactly.
Gosh, I felt silly. Here a college senior, already has a job lined up after college, and asking me what my plans are after graduate school. Ha!
I couldn't help but feel a little lost after that moment. What are my plans?
I don't know, but part of me wants to have some idea.........at least by spring semester. That is my goal.
Long term: I'd like to be the Dean of Students at a College/University. Not just any Dean, but one who has open office hours and has lunch meetings with students. Helping students achieve their hopes and dreams is what I want to do when I grow up.
