OK. Not a very exciting post for the blog today, but I find it interesting the whole emissions testing that Indiana does. I know some other states do this as well, but being born and raised in Michigan, this was a new concept for me when I moved here in 2006. Back then I had my 88 Dodge and to no surprise....the oldie didn't pass the emissions test. I cried. At that time, J and I just moved to Indiana and were just getting by. He worked his magic and got it waived for my dodge. Thank goodness. I remember that was a very stressful time.
So, today when I went to renew my car's registration online, I realized it was that time again. I had to take my 2007 Malibu in for its first emissions test. Even though my car isn't very old, I was still nervous. As I sat there in line with all the other cars, I could see the nervousness and anxiety in other people's faces as well. I was not alone.
I understand and respect the reasoning behind the emissions testing, but OH MY WORD, it makes me nervous. I just don't like unexpected expenses (I don't know anyone who does).
After 19 minutes, my Malibu and I were on our way out of there with the emissions testing paperwork. It passed. What a relief. I know...silly, right?
That was my little "adventure" for today.
